WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. 12-BORE 'MODEL 1887' LEVER-ACTION REPEATING SHOTGUN, serial no. 17578, for 1888, restricted magazine, 30in. black powder only reproved barrel (in 2024), 2 1/2in. chamber, bored approx. full choke, slab-sided receiver engraved with the 'W.R.A.' monogram, tilting breech-block and central hammer operated by a finger lever, plain top-tang, walnut semi-pistolgrip butt-stock with chequered iron heel-plate, exposed under-barrel magazine and smooth wood side fillets in lieu of fore-end, 13in. pull, weight 7lb. 12oz.
